Portable touchless hand washing stations are the newest health and safety measure at Lisbon Exempted Village Schools.
Each station can do 120 hand washes in 10 minutes. That breaks down to 360 washes every half hour and 720 washes every hour.
The touchless hand washing stations have four sinks equipped with soap and paper towels. The unit at DAHS is stationed in the lobby. Students will wash their hands when they enter the building. Anyone who comes to the high school gym for athletic events will also use the hand washing station. The unit at McKinley Elementary is in the cafeteria.
The Quad-Sink Handwashing Station is designed and developed by Personal Protected, a company in New Middletown. Several schools in the area also have the Quad-Sink Hand Washing Station.
Center Township used funding through the 2020 Federal Cares Act to purchase one of the units for the district. LEVSD purchased the other unit.
