Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th every year. It is celebrated by gung-ho math fans. The day is to celebrate math and even more specific the Greek letter Pi (π). When celebrating Pi Day people usually eat pie and walk in circles. Although walking in circles and eating pie sounds fun, others celebrate it in other ways. Some of our teachers here at Lisbon are working hard to make Pi Day 2009 the best. Mr. Kemats has many activities planned for his 6th grade classes and next week the Math Counts Jr. High Math Club is having their own Pi Party. To hear Mr. Kemats' explanation of Pi Day click here.
